Have you seen the desert tribe tents? They're an amazing piece of technology that I think we could learn a lot from.
Before I get into my utter fascination with them, I want to say:
- I use the term desert tribes because the term Bedouin is the French translation of Arabic badawin "desert-dwellers". There's more than one tribe, so Bedouin is a misnomer. Also Kaya wouldn't call them Bedouins.
- I looked up everything I know about the tents from multiple sources. I've never used one, even though I find them so amazing.
Here are 2 of the sites I read to learn more about the tents:
The History of the Bedouin Tent
Bedouin Tent in the Past and Today
Now, the tent Paul carries in Husband of Convenience, is not nearly as complex as these. It's faster to set up for just the 2 of them, and easier to break down. It offers protection from the sun and wind, and a place to sleep
