Portuguese Chocolate Research

Sacred Gifts, Profane Pleasures by Marcy Norton is one of the books I read in my research for The Lady's Pirate.

Other articles were The History of the Chocolate Bonbon, a short Wikipedia history of the chocolate truffle to figure out wording and timelines, an article on revitalizing ancient traditions, and a History Channel bit on the history of chocolate.
